Voncile “Vonnie” Purnell, age 87 of Hermitage, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015. Survived by her husband of 61 years, George; daughters, Vicki (Robert) King and Lee Ann Purnell; grandchildren, Caleb, Emily and Benjamin King; brother, Harry Edwards; several nieces and nephews. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her church family at Mt. Juliet Church of Christ was such an important part of her life. Vonnie was involved for years with the Juanita Parks Artist Group and was an avid antique collector. Funeral Services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. Visitation with the family 4 – 8 p.m. Monday and 12 - 2 p.m. Tuesday.
