On March 27 at 1:40 in the morning our sweet Godly grandad, Walter McKinley Key, Jr. passed away while Glen Miller was playing in the background and his beautiful wife’s pictures were surrounding his bed along with gorgeous tulips and daffodils. He took the opportunity to call each of his children and grandchildren to tell them goodbye between Saturday and Tuesday. He lived a full and bountiful life and he will be missed, especially during University of Memphis football season. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII, a teacher, a preacher, a father and a husband. He leaves behind an amazing legacy of 3 daughters, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one on the way. He ensured his entire family knew God’s Word and was a blessing to all who knew him. Visitation is at 1:30 PM on Friday March 29 in Memphis, TN at Memphis Memory Gardens on Raleigh LaGrange Road with funeral to follow at graveside.
