

Wayne Benjamin Richman, age 80, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, at Summit Medical Center, surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Wayne lived a life grounded in service, strength, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.
A United States Marine Corps Sergeant and Combat Engineer, he bravely served his country in the Vietnam War. After his military service, Wayne continued his commitment to public service at Nashville Electric Service where he worked diligently for almost thirty-four years as an Electrical Engineer and Operations Manager. Even in retirement, Wayne remained devoted to supporting others. He volunteered for more than five years with the Young Marines Mid Cumberland, mentoring and inspiring the next generation with the same values he held dear--honor, courage, and commitment.
Wayne was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose strength and sense of humor were a constant source of love and steadiness for his family. He was a member of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, and he held dear the doctrines of God's Grace.
Wayne is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Richman; his mother, Annie Ruth Ryan Richman; and his brother, James Richman. He is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Altrichter Richman; son, Anthony Wayne Richman; daughter-in-law, Joan Richman; grandchildren James, William, and Kyle Richman; his daughter, Terri Richman Nicholson; son-in-law, Sean Nicholson; grandchildren Lauren, Brooke, Zach, "Madison Nicholson", great-grandson, Sawyer Jace Nicholson; daughter, Tricia Richman Cunningham; son-in-law, Charles Cunningham; grandchildren Taylor and Makensie Moses; great-granddaughter, Maryjane Moses; his sisters Lois Richman Finney, June Richman Parker, Cheryl Richman and Janet Richman.
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends on Friday, May 16, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home. A second Gathering of Family & Friends will take place Saturday, May 17, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, with a funeral service to follow. After the service, Wayne will be laid to rest in the Garden of Andrew at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
Wayne's legacy lives on in the values he passed to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren: work hard, love deeply, and never lose your sense of humor. Wayne will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. His legacy of service, generosity, and wisdom will live on through his family and all those he touched throughout his life.
