William Thomas Caruthers Jr.

William Thomas Caruthers, Jr., 62, of Hermitage, Tennessee, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025. William was born June 27, 1962 in Nashville Tennessee to William and Myra Caruthers. He was a graduate of DuPont High School, Class of 1981. Following high school he started his career in shipping and receiving, working for several companies over the years.

William enjoyed spending time with his family and children. He was active in youth sports, serving as a coach in football, basketball and baseball in Hermitage. He was a Titan’s fan and enjoyed catching their games whenever he could.

William is preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas Caruthers, Sr. and Myra Honeycutt Caruthers; and a sister Debbie Brown. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Leanne Caruthers; sons; Barry (Allie) Caruthers, Billy Caruthers, III; a sister, Cathy (John) Joor; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be a visitation with family and friends on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00PM at the Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, Tennessee. A Celebration of William's life will begin in the Tulip Grove Chapel at the funeral home at 6:00 PM.
