Frank passed away June 6th from complications of Alzheimer’s disease and Esophageal Cancer.
He was surrounded by people who loved him.
Frank was born in Boston, MA, in 1944. He put himself through college by working nights stocking shelves at the First National Store, something that made him very proud. He had a long career in the field of Structural Engineering.
He loved the hustle bustle of the city, but also the quiet life of Lyme. He was a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox, Celtics, and New England Patriots.
He leaves behind his adoring wife Anne, his son Shawn, daughter-in-law Susan, and granddaughter Jane. Also, a family in Lyme and Massachusetts who loved him to pieces.
He was predeceased by his sisters Ruthie, who was like a mother to him, Joan, (husband Frank Gieser), Evelyn Scimone, Barbara Smalley, and brother Joe Magee.
The happiest part of his life was spending time and doing things with all his nieces and nephews who he considered his own children. Their love was something very special.
As Frank’s mind started to fail, Annie said to him every night “I love you to the moon and back”.
And Frank’s reply “I love you to infinity and beyond”.
Remember to speak these words to your love one every day and you will have no regrets.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Lyme Ambulance or Lyme Fire Company, both in Lyme Connecticut.
