I met Mary when she came into my shop many years ago. She went on to become a friend. We had children who were close in age and we shared our love of children. She was kind and always had a positive outlook. She is a loss to our world which so needs kind people. My sincere condolences to her family.

Mary and I were Pennington friends for over 20 years. Our children were about the same ages so we were together often. Mary introduced me to watercolor classes and taught in both of her Pennington homes.. I continue my love of art because of her. She was an excellent teacher and artist as shown by her many accomplishments in the art field.. Yet she was so modest. When we moved to va and she moved to conn it was more difficult to stay in touch. but we did and I am heartbroken with her loss.I have several of Mary"s paintings in my home and have and will always cherish them.Love to woody , stacy and Elizabeth. You are all in my mind with fond memories,, Joan

Mary and I shared love of painting, dogs and flowers. She taught me so many wonderful watercolor techniques over the years, and we went on many painting workshops together in Bermuda, England and France. We spent countless hours talking, laughing, and always painting. I have so many fond memories of my dear friend.

What a wonderful fun woman Mary was. She taught with patience, kindness & love - even when I really made a mess of my painting. Mary loved her husband and her family first and foremost. We were all blessed to have had her in our lives.
Be at peace sweet Mary and now you can start painting the heavens.

I will always remember all the beautiful, meticulously decorated Christmas trees that adorn the Laforge family home. One in the entrance, one in the living room and even one in the bedroom ... one more stunning than the next. My first time visiting their house during the holidays I walked and and gave Elizabeth a look and she just said “ that’s my mom”. Sending our deepest sympathies to your family.

Every December Mary would take me to the Christmas Tea at the Florence Griswold Museum, something I always looked forward to. We always had a wonderful time! Mary was such a generous person and a friend I will miss very much.
I know her family meant everything to her. My sympathy and love goes out to her girls, their families, and of course Woody.
Love, Martha Lynch

I always considered Mary as one of the nicest persons I ever met. It was an absolute pleasure working with Mary and Woody building their new home in N.J.
I also have paintings by Mary of my childhood farmhouse and barn which I will always cherish.
She always kept in touch with birthday and Christmas cards. I will miss her very much!
We are praying for Woody and family.
