Mildred Ann Swaney Thomas

Mrs. Thomas was born on October 31, 1942 in Old Lyme the daughter of James and Elsie Swaney. She married Ennis Thomas in 1968 in First Congregational Church of Old Lyme. He predeceased her in 1984. She was employed for many years for Regional District 18 school system until she started with the Lee Company and worked there for 20 years as an inspector until her retirement.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by her son Ennis Thomas Jr. of Old Lyme, her two daughters Cathy Vose and husband Richard of Waterford, Lisa Thomas of Colchester, her six brothers James of Maine, Thomas of Terryville, Richard of Waterford, Ken, Leon, Norman all of Old Lyme, two sisters Catherine McKim and Susan Colli both of Old Lyme, her three grandsons Robert, Colby and Kyle.

A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 11:00 am in Duck River Cemetery, Old Lyme. To honor her wishes we would ask all in attendance to come in casual attire.
