

Mrs. Krawiec was born July 30, 1933, in New Britain, the daughter of Charles and Angelina Scalise. She married Joseph M. Krawiec in 1956 in St. Ann's Church in New Britain. He predeceased her in 2001.
She taught for 38 years in the New Britain School System, both kindergarten and first grade. She was an active member of Christ the King Church in Old Lyme, a member of the Third Order of Mary as well as a member of the “God Squad” at Christ the King. She was also a longtime member of the Red Hat Society. She loved to crochet and knit, cooking and baking as well as spending time with her friends at Miami Beach. She had a beautiful smile that came easily and frequently, she possessed a gentle nature, sweet spirit, and touched the lives of all she met.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph Krawiec Jr. of Old Lyme, Michael Krawiec of New Britain; daughter Mary Ann Watson-Eaton of Cheshire; grandson, Joseph Krawiec III of Old Lyme and loving nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her two brothers and three sisters.
Calling Hours will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 13 Beckwith Lane, Old Lyme, where a procession will assemble, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 1 McCurdy Rd., Old Lyme. Interment will follow in Duck River Cemetery, Old Lyme.
