Beverly A. LeVasseur

Of Old Saybrook, formerly of Durham

Beverly LeVasseur died peacefully at Middlesex Hospital after a brief illness. She is survived by her longtime partner James Dean of Old Saybrook and her three children and their spouses Robert Ruggiero of Myrtle Beach, SC, Michele Ruggiero and Jim Mesko of Troy, NY and Dayna Ruggiero-Morris and Steven Morris of New York City.

Beverly worked for the town of Durham as Assistant Assessor for over 35 years before retiring in 2010 and was working as the Assessor’s Clerk in the town of Old Saybrook at the time of her death.

Born in Lowell, MA to Angela Bernier(Cafetera) and Armand LeVasseur, she grew up and attended schools in Massachusetts before moving to Durham, CT in 1972. Her love of the shoreline brought her to Old Saybrook, CT in 1997.

She particularly enjoyed spending time with her three grandchildren Steven Morris Jr,, Elizabeth Morris and Alysse Morris.

She was predeceased by three brothers Frank LeVasseur, David LeVasseur and Raymond LeVasseur. She is survived by her brother Armand LeVasseur.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 17th at 1PM at the Swan Funeral Home in Old Saybrook followed by a calling hours from 1:30PM to 3PM. www.swanfuneralhomeoldsaybrook.com
