Brian Patrick Ramirez

Brian Patrick Ramirez passed away surrounded by his family Thursday, May 29, 2014. Born August 6, 1928 in Scarsdale, NY he was the son of Agnes and Manuel Ramirez. Brian was a graduate of The U. S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, and spoke fondly of his experiences there and his time serving in the Navy. After retiring from the Navy he began a long and distinguished carrier with Aetna Life Insurance Co. One of his greatest joys was spending time with family and friends, and such occasions will not be the same without him. Brian was pre-deceased by his beloved wife Judith White Ramirez. He is survived by his two daughters, Cynthia Ramirez and her husband David Arnold of Chester, Jennifer Russo and her husband Francis Russo of Avon, four grandchildren Alexis Ramirez-Arnold and her husband Bradley Kirkpatrick, Alanna Ramirez-Arnold and her husband Andre Thouin, Francis Russo III, Alyssa Russo, and great grandson Ryan Kirkpatrick. His family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, June 3, from 4-7 pm at Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd, Old Saybrook. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am Wednesday, June 4, at St. Johns Church, Main St, Old Saybrook.
