
Besides her parents, Kay was predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years Francis O. Buckley.
Kay is survived by her sons Bruce Buckley and Brian Buckley; grandchildren Mathew, Michael, Erin, and Derek; great granddaughter Morgan and great grandson Jack.
Kay graduated from Ansonia High School and went on to work for the Royal Typewriter Co. in Hartford, CT. While her husband Fran was serving his country during WWII, Kay lived with her sister-in-law Virginia in Windsor, CT.
When her husband returned from Europe, they moved to East Hartford, CT where they raised their sons Bruce and Brian. Kay took a job with the Internal Revenue Service in Hartford, CT when Brian reached school age. She worked as a secretary there until she retired in 1984 after 28 years of service.
Kay and Fran moved to Manchester, CT in 1959 and then into a 250 year old Grist Mill, renovated by her husband Fran and son Brian, in Chester, CT in 1984. In 1996 they moved to Wig Hill in Chester, where Kay lived until entering Chesterfields Health Care Center in Chester, CT.
Kay and Fran enjoyed summers in the cottage Fran built on Rogers Lake in Old Lyme, CT until 1984.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, November 19, 2011 in St. Joseph’s Church, Chester, CT at 1 PM.
