

Kevin Tabor Wightman, age 71, of Manchester and New London, CT, and Boca Raton, Florida passed away, Saturday, August 28th 2021, surrounded by family and friends.
Always a kind, compassionate, and generous free spirit, Kevin left an everlasting impression and smile on so many lives and faces. He will be fondly remembered for his witty and uplifting personality and his sincere love for his family and friends. Wonderful memories of all the special times shared will shine bright in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
Ferry Slip Marina was called “HOME” for Kevin and his wife Marty aboard the “Isle of Wight” for over 20 years. So many amazing times with family and friends. The beautiful Sunrise and Sunsets… were part of Kevin’s soul, and Block Island was his “Happy Place”.
Kevin was also so very proud to be a member of the Masonic Lodge #73, Manchester, and the Manchester Elks Lodge #1893. He believed strongly in all the goodwill that they bring to others in their dedicated missions.
Kevin is survived by his brother Gary Wightman of Naples, FL, and his sisters, Donna Brooks of Manchester, CT, Karen Oberg of Old Saybrook, CT, and Bonnie Harkins and husband Fred of Cheshire, CT. Kevin leaves so many treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to cherish his memory and he felt so very blessed to have every one of them in his life. Kevin was predeceased by his loving wife of 30 years, Martha (Marty) Wightman, and his parents Walter and Eleanor Wightman of Manchester, CT.
A Celebration of Kevin’s Life will be held at the Waterfront Restaurant, 260 Pequot Avenue, New London, CT, on October 4th, 2021, 4:00-7:30 PM. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared online at www.swanfuneralhomeoldsaybrook.com
