Margaret Oliver passed away on January 31, 2012 after a long illness. Born April 4, 1952 in Middletown to the late Ernest and Jean Oliver, she grew up in Deep River and graduated from Valley Regional High School and Trinity College. She is survived by her sister Della, brother-in-law John Leathers and their children of New York City and her soul-mate Mark Congleton of Hadlyme. For years she worked writing university grant proposals and doing paralegal work. She was retired, living in Portland, CT for the last six years. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, singing, reading and playing Scrabble. She also enjoyed her cat and nature walks in the woods. She led a quiet life and will be missed by family and friends.
