Mary J. Langley, 94, of Old Saybrook, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 11, 2017 at Apple Rehabilitation Center in Old Saybrook. Born in Santa Maria, CA on August 23, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Ruth Young Chaffin.
Mary retired from the former Echlin Automotive in Branford after 25 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed doll collecting and crocheting. Mary was a kind a quiet lady and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by five children. Gordon Collier (Rebecca) of Vacaville, CA; Dianne & Robert Turchen of Clinton; Ruth and Raymond Quick of Clinton; Richard & Donna Langley of Old Saybrook and Kim Langley of Clinton. Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Timothy Langley. Burial and services will be private.
