It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Anthony Del Monaco, Jr., who left us too soon on March 29, 2025 at the age of 41. A husband, father, cherished son, brother, uncle and friend. He touched many lives with his wisdom, unwavering love for family and deep pride in his Italian heritage.
Born on June 26, 1983, to Michael and Karen Del Monaco of Northford CT. He graduated from Westbrook High School in 2001 and the University of Connecticut in 2007. Michael built his life around family, friends, dedication to hard work and making the most of every moment. A devoted professional in financial planning, he took pride in helping others secure their futures. His clients and colleagues alike valued his integrity, guidance, and commitment to their success.
Beyond his career at Barnum Financial, Michael found his greatest joy in the great outdoors, especially on the water. He was happiest with a fishing rod in hand, the sun on his face, and the sound of the waves beneath him. Whether navigating the open water or casting a line from the shore, his love for boats and fishing was more than a pastime—it was a passion he eagerly shared with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, son Brandon, stepson Henry and stepdaughters Katie and Phoebe. His family will forever treasure his laughter, his wisdom, and the countless cherished moments spent together. He also leaves behind his parents, Michael and Karen Del Monaco, his brother Chris Del Monaco and wife Andrea, sister Michele Del Monaco and husband Andy, nephew Dominic Claar and many beloved colleagues, clients and friends who will miss him dearly.
Though his time with us was far too short, Michael’s legacy of traditions he cherished, adventure, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His spirit will forever be felt in the rhythm of the waves and the quiet moments by the water’s edge.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Michael’s memory and the incredible impact he had on all who knew him. Details will be shared with family and friends when arrangements are finalized.
