

On Jan 5, 1939, a “Happy” baby was born in Portland, CT. Happy was his nickname. Salvatore “Sal” Michael Adorno graduated from Notre Dame prep school and opened 5 NAPA auto parts stores in Middlesex County. Until recently, he was an avid boater, sailing the New England coast and Long Island sound. Sal owned and managed commercial and residential real estate properties in various locations in Connecticut. He was a family man at heart and nothing made him happier or prouder than spending time with his true love, Delia, his sons, Michael and John. He “lit up like a Christmas tree” at the sight of his grandchildren, Gianni and Enzo.
Sal leaves behind his beloved wife, Delia Adorno, residing in Westbrook, CT, his sister, Mary Lou Raicik in Portland, CT, sons, Michael and John Adorno living in Westbrook, CT, daughter in law/Michael’s wife, Vickie Adorno and grandsons, Gianni and Enzo Adorno all living in Westbrook, CT.
Calling Hours will be held on June 11, 2025 from 4-7pm at Swan Funeral Home, located at 1224 Boston Post Rd, Old Saybrook, CT.
A Funeral Mass for Sal will be held on June 12, 2025, at 10am will take place at St Mark the Evangelist Rc Church, located at 222 McVeagh Rd, Westbrook, CT.
The burial will be held at St Sebastian’s cemetery in Middlefield immediately following the funeral mass.
A celebration of Sal's life will be held at a location in Middletown, yet to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to St Mark’s Church in Westbrook, CT is appreciated.
