Santy Patana

He was born on January 12, 1978, in Laos, to parents Peng and Bouasy Patana of Old Lyme.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers Vong and his wife Daraphet Touny of Old Lyme, Vahn of Norwich, Soukahn of NC, Pon and Sichanh, both of Old Lyme; nieces Abby Lynn and Monroe, and nephews Louis, Logan and Bryce.

Santy was an avid sports fan and lover of music. While attending Old Lyme High School, he was revered as one of their best athletes, excelling at soccer and basketball. He continued on to New England Tech in New Britain for two years where he received his Electronics Specialist Certification. He was last employed at The Lee Company in Westbrook for four years as a Hydraulic Electrical Technician. He loved being by the water. Oftentimes, he can be found boating and fishing with his cousins, nieces and nephews, playing golf or watching his beloved New England teams. His love of music blossomed his hobby of deejaying and mixing tunes. Quiet by nature, Santy enjoyed being with his small intimate circle of family and friends. He has now found peace in eternal rest and will always be missed and loved by all.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 19th from 5-8pm at Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook.
