

MILFORD—Agnes M. (Pelkey) Whitcomb, 62,wife of Gary Whitcomb, died March 15, 2011 after a long, valiant and courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 18, 1948 in Winn, the daughter of Leonard Joseph and Clara Louise (Michaud) Pelkey.
Agnes was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She touched the lives and hearts of all who knew her. She enjoyed time spent at camp with family and was the driving force in getting many projects done. She enjoyed antiquing and gardening with her grand children. She was a graduate of the University of Maine with a degree in business.
She is survived by her soul mate of 19 years, Gary Whitcomb of Milford; and will be deeply missed by three daughters Rose and her husband Rick Thompson of Glenburn and their children Zack, Nick, and Nate; Robin and husband Eddie LeBlanc of Milford and their children Tyler and Brad; Malissa and her husband Joe Pelletier of Hermon and their children Geneve, Grace, and Katherine; a son Douglas Worster of Milford and his son Justin; step-son Joshua Whitcomb and his wife Christie of Corinna and their children Alec, Chase, Bryce, and Blake; 15 siblings Marion Fischer of AK, Lucy Andrews of CT , Evelyn Ireland of Milford, Alice Combs of VT, Clara Cox of FL, Thomas Pelkey of Eddington, Eileen Carey of Enfield, Philip Pelkey of VT, Mary Martin of Bucksport, Cynthia Furlotte of Bangor, Christine Young of AL, John Pelkey of VT, Maurice Pelkey of Milford, Vera Averil of Burlington and Brian Pelkey of Washington. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers Leonard and Charles.
Friends may call 4-8 PM Friday at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday at Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord, Holy Family Church , Old Town. Immediately following the service all are invited to the Parish Center for a light luncheon and continued fellowship. Spring burial will be at Milford Cemetery.
