
OLD TOWN and OTIS—Alexander “Ty” Morin, 106, passed away peacefully at home, as he wished, on January 1, 2022 surrounded by family. He was born March 3, 1915 in Old Town a son of Alexander and Mederise (Lajeunesse) Morin.
He was raised in Old Town, he served as a paratrooper with the US Army in Woprld War II, and worked much of his life as a carpenter and member of Carpenters and Joiners of America. Following retirement, he moved to Beechhill Pond, Otis where he spent many happy years enjoying life with family and multiple friends. Moving back to his homestead at age 93, he continued to enjoy life and family.
He was predeceased by his parents, four siblings; his wife of many years Shirley A. (Madore) Morin, daughter Donna Morin and son Richard Robishaw. He is survived by two daughters Gerri Ziegler and Patty Miles; grandchildren Alex Ziegler, Leslie Robishaw, Donna Miles, Rick Miles, and great grandchildren Rehamer Robishaw and Taylor Miles.
Spring interment will at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town.
