

BANGOR—Alice E Dolley, 77, died peacefully May 17, 2014 with family by her side at a Brewer nursing facility. She was born August 2, 1936 in Charleston the seventh child of Leslie Parker Sr and Lula Isabelle (Hitchborn) Lincoln.
She was a loving, caring, devoted wife, mother grandmother, great grandmother. She enjoyed family gatherings including summer reunions and the annual Christmas party. Holidays were a special times, even when times were tough, every holiday was a joyous occasion. She was an avid red sox fan, active in the Passadumkeag Grange 586, enjoyed sewing and knitting, reading, and playing Wii games. She enjoyed her animals including a special bird, Pedro.
She is survived by six children Manley Dolley Jr and wife Karen of Charleston, Linda Hicks and her husband Roger of Veazie, William Dolley and his wife Nancy of MI, Thomas Dolley and his wife Wendy of SC, Lucille Thomas and husband Stephen of Dover-Foxcroft, Amy Samiya and Mike of Brewer; 13 grandchildren Lisa Robles, Tim Dolley, Autumn Ward, Bethany Ward, Stefin Brown, Justin Brown, Helen Dolley, Joseph Dolley, Heather Dolley, Mindy Nicholson, Leigh Dolley, Kristen Smith, Katie Thomas; great grandchildren Colby Dolley, Cassie and Brian Brown, Bryce and Kaydence Nicholson, Khloe Smith, eight Siblings Lois Strout and her husband Paul of Bangor, Priscilla McPheters of Brunswick, Carolyn Reed and husband Bob of Ellsworth, Leslie Lincoln Jr and his wife Susan LaGrange, Evelyn Robbins and husband Ralph of Hampden, Gerald Lincoln and his wife Faith of Dixmont, Doris Whitaker of Windsor, David Lincoln and his wife Wanda of Old Town; a sister-in-law Rhoda Dolley of Enfield; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Manley Dolley Sr. in 1999, siblings Charles Lincoln, Blanche Barnes, Irma Ellis, Isabelle Weston.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Brewer Center for Health and Rehabilitation.
Friends may call 6-8 PM Friday at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town where a funeral service will be conducted 11AM Saturday. Immediately following the service, all are invited to stay at the funeral home for a light luncheon and continued fellowship. Private burial will be at Passadumkeag Cemetery.
