

Old Town – Cecile Lucille (Roy) Bois, 82, died suddenly at home, surrounded by her family on August 29, 2010. She was born on August 6, 1928, the daughter of William and Rose (Michaud) Roy.
Cecile was a proud member of the Holy Family Church in Old Town where she and her beloved husband had renewed their wedding vows on Saturday, August 28, 2010, after 60 years of marriage. Cecile enjoyed many things in life including, sewing, gardening, hunting partridge and deer, painting, playing Rummy and Charlemagne, camping at the Red Barn with her entire family, and going blueberry picking. She was an excellent cook and expert bean maker, a great shopper, and she loved to go to yard sales. Cecile had a big heart and always wore a smile. She would do anything for anyone, and always made you feel like you were part of her family.
Cecile is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ovide; her 5 children, Gilbert and wife Emilienne of Edmunston, New Brunswick, Raymond of Old Town, Jacqueline Dolley and her companion Stuart of Milford, Marielle Bois and her companion Clarence of Orono, Liane Ladd and her husband Dwight of Greenbush. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Cecile is predeceased by her 2 sons, MacDonald in 1961 and Donald in 1989.
Family and friends are invited to call, Tuesday, August 31, from 6-8pm at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10am, Wednesday at the Holy Family Church with interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Old Town. A luncheon will follow the interment at the parish hall.
