HUDSON—Kenneth L. “Grampy” Blackmore, 78, died August 15, 2021 following a period of failing health. He was born October 24, 1942 in Old Town the son of Leon and Clara (Bailey) Blackmore.
Ken was devoted to his family. He was a simple, hard working, honest man that was always there with a helping hand to those in need. He took tremendous pride in his work as a carpenter and with the Hudson Fire Department. In his younger years, with his wife Marie, he enjoyed square dancing, roller skating, four-wheeling and NASCAR.
He is survived by his daughter Cindy Lilley and her husband Larry; two grandsons Josh Lilley and his wife Mindy and Jon Lilley and his wife Molly; two great granddaughters Natalie and Amelia; two sisters Nancy Kimball, Pat Hill and her husband Gordon; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife of 40 years Marie in 2006 and his parents.
A celebration of his life will be conducted 11AM Saturday at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main Street Old Town where friends may visit from 10AM until time of service.
