Bessie Marie Blair, 93, of Independence, MS, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 in Senatobia, MS. Mrs. Blair was a lifetime member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Coldwater, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Huel M. Blair, three brothers, and three sisters. Mrs. Blair is survived by her children, Wayne Blair, Stanley Blair, Sharon Whitworth, and Gregory Blair, one sister, Judy Blair, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends this evening, Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 6-8pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 9290 MS-306, Coldwater, MS 38618 and the funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2016 also at the church. Interment will follow in Burford Cemetery, Coldwater, MS.
