Billy Harold Reed, Sr., 88, of Munford, TN passed away March 5, 2021. Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia K. Reed; parents, Claude Reed, Sr. and Geneva Akins Reed; brothers, Claude Reed, Jr., Connie Reed and Johnnie Reed; and sister, Vanada Reed. He is survived by his son, Billy Harold Reed, Jr. and his granddaughter, Valerie Lauren Reed. Mr. Reed served our country for 30+ years in the United States Army and was very proud of his service. After his retirement he worked in civil service for 10 years. He had a kind and generous spirit and that showed over the years as he and his wife fostered numerous children in need of a home. He was also involved in Boys Town which is an organization that helps troubled youth. Mr. Reed had a great sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 11am-1pm with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Eavenson-Bett Cemetery.
