

Blanche Norman Smith, 94, passed away peacefully at her home in Olive Branch on November 4, 2012, after three months of hospice care. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Frank O. (Smitty) Smith, her parents, Collin and Willie Norman and five brothers: Collin Peyton Jr., William, Alston, Monroe, and Harry. She is survived by her daughters: Barbara Trayser Alcala, and Judy Trayser (Michael C.) Gerard of Olive Branch, four grandsons, Bill and Brian Doak and Brandon and Christopher Gerard, and seven great grandchildren: Alexis and Brennan Doak, Grace, Sarah, Colin, Nathan, and Raven Gerard. She retired from Quality Stamp Company in Memphis before moving to Olive Branch. She was a former Director of the Community Thrift Shop and a former owner of The Clothing Exchange, both in Olive Branch. She was a long time member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Women’s Circle. She was an avid gardener and cook. Memorial donations can be made to the Olive Branch Food Ministry, The Olive Branch Humane Society, Bethel Presbyterian Church, or any of the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 10th at Brantley Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m.
