Byron Neuman Humphrey, 94, of Memphis, TN passed away on February 26, 2026. Mr. Humphrey was born on April 27, 1932, in Memphis, TN to the late Byron Neuman Humphrey and Ida Holder Humphrey. He served our country in the Unites States Army during the Korean War where he was shot 3 times. He received his bachelor’s degree from Memphis State University. Mr. Humphrey was a dedicated and faithful member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church where he served as a sacristan and eucharistic minister. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Humphrey; son, Byron Neuman Humphrey, III; grandson, Byron James Thomas; brothers, Percy and Johnny Humphrey; sister, Patsy Marie Humphrey; and son-in-law, James Thomas. He is survived by his daughter, Barbie Humphrey Thomas. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Calvary Cemetery.
