To the Family of Charles Curbo,
     I just wanted to express my deepest sympathies about the death of Mr. Curbo. He was a good person who would go the extra mile to help people.  He was also an excellent attorney.       I want to extend my deepsest sympathies to you.  He meant alot to me both personally and as my lawyer.  I looked  at him like a brother and always told him he was taking on too much. Charles - Thanks for the nearly 30 years of great memories and friendship, especially the last 4 we shared in Suite 921 of 100 North Main and in the snakepit at 201. Marvin Ballin was honored with a commemorative street sign in front of the Justice Complex recently. Certainly you deserve no less; perhaps Mayor AC Wharton, to whom you certainly were no stranger, will find an appropriate memorial in recognition of all the good you did as a lawyer; if not then somewhere appropriate in Midtown or near Overton Square to remember the early days when men played electric guitars like men - loudly and all night long. I am proud we were friends and will miss you the remainder of my days. You did an outstanding job taking care of Chaz, and he will be your lasting legacy along with the many clients who all have their own Curbo stories.

I knew Mr. Curbo from court at 201 Poplar. He stood up for the people he represented; I admired that in him.

Charles Curbo was a one of a kind lawyer. I remember when I first started a new prosecutor thinking that she had the one up one him because of his rather unique style and good demeanor. He very politely set her in his place and even she admitted when he left he completely eviscerated our case. Charles and I would shoot the breeze between announcements about life, music and family. He loved his Gibson, his son and the opportunity to stand up for someone facing hard times. He was a good man and 201 is less of a place without him.

We will all miss Ronnie.  He always represented his clients zealously.  May he rest in peace.  We will keep his family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.  Judge Robert L. Childers

I am very sorry to hear about Mr. Curbo's passing.  My husband is also an attorney in Memphis and had an office in the same building for many years.  I had the pleasure of talking with "Charlie" severals times and he always made me laugh and think.  I am very sorry for your loss.

Charles was certainly expereince in the ways of the world, and because of his often dishelved appearance, many missed the brillance that was his mind.  His many clients will miss his efforts on their behalf and the legal profession will have to make some adjustment for his absence.  God Bless.

I will miss you Curbo.  I am honored to have had an opportunity to work with such a unique and self-assured individual.  I had the pleasant experience to have worked with your father in 1994 as a tax auditor and learned a lot from him as well.  Although different in style, you both were and are fine gentleman.  You will be missed.

I know that life was not always easy for your Dad, but his face would light up every time I asked about you.  It was evident that he loved you very, very much, and that he was so very proud of you. "Mr. Curbo,"  your unique personality will be so missed.  When Chaz told me you played guitar in a band I had every intention of going to listen, and I always wanted to take a day off work to go to the courthouse and watch your legal talents in action.  I am so sorry I never got a chance to do either, for I know I would have witnessed genius on both counts. You taught me an important lesson in the few short years I knew you:  Stay true and honest to yourself without concern about "what other people think."  Keep an eye on my husband Jerry up there,  he needs it! :)

Randy and Family, My heart is full to hear of "Ronnie's" death. You may be able to tell by my calling him Ronnie I knew him we were young and still in high school. I remember the VW bus days, crusing the park and Ronnie allways singing,  and that sly smile. Now he is singing in a new band with his heavenly brothers gone on before him. Charles was a great colleague and friend. I have known him since high school and always enjoyed the time I spent with him. My prayers and condolences go out to his friends and family.

Charles will be missed as I miss him so already. Chaz don't ever doubt how much your father loves you. You are his pride and joy. Every day Charles would speak about you and how great you are. Even when he called me at home about work he would always, always get to talking about you.

His family is Charles heart, he would alway speak about one day moving to "Curbo Lane".  He constantly fretted over his father's health and was crushed when his uncle died. 

Charles loves his music. He was just talking with another local musician about starting up a band. He would stop what he was doing during the day, grab his guitar and show me a new riff he just figured out.

I will miss Charles, a good man is gone from this earth. He had a frenzied passion for everything he did and annyone who knew Charles knew he could talk, and how he could talk. The silence now is deafening.

I love you Charles and I miss you.

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN!!!!! MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU...

I'm so glad I got to know Mr. Curbo. I met him through my daughter and her need for frequent representation. (smile). We learned that our sons attended the same school and I would see him as often at the school as I did in his practice. He provided law for my daughter but he also always told her the truth in a parent way. Not about law but about life as she is now 21 and still learning. I will miss him greatly. He had a type of flair that no other attorney I've met to this day has. To the family, I will keep you in my prayers and no that our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ makes no mistakes. To his son, be strong, I know Curbo is watching you from heaven.

Chaz and family:  So sorry to hear of your loss.  My prayers are with you and family members.  God has added a bright shining star to the universe and he will be looking down upon you at all times.  May God Bless You.
