Debra Gay Barber, 65, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Methodist Olive Branch. She was born on September 20, 1960, to James and Mary Dunlap in Memphis, TN. Debbie loved gardening and was especially proud of her tomatoes. She did everything on her own time, never in a rush, which suited her laid-back personality perfectly. Debbie was a hard worker and genuinely enjoyed working, making many friends along the way. No matter where she was, you could usually find her watching the ID Channel. Debbie was particular and never afraid to say exactly what was on her mind, a quality those who knew her came to appreciate and love. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Dunlap; her husband, Larry Barber; her sister, Dana DeVoe. She leaves behind her father, James Dunlap; two children, Allison Wheeler and Adam Fiore, and two brothers, Josh Dunlap and Jamie Dunlap. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
