Demetra Mae Logan

Born on December 16, 1959, in West Point, Demetra was truly a force of nature. Those who knew her best described her as insightful, intuitive, and the heart of the family. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and cared for. Whether through her gardening, her cooking, or simply her presence, she brought warmth and comfort wherever she went. No one ever left her home hungry.

Affectionately known as “Memaw,” Demetra leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her loving family. She is survived by her children: Beth Phillips and husband Chris; Mindy Harrell and husband Greg, Jessica Swords and husband Trey. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Ashlynn, Madylynn, Realynn, Jareth, Kaylee, and Tyler, as well as her beloved great-grandchildren, Draven and Brynlee.

Per Demetra’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. She did not want her loved ones to mourn her passing, but instead to rejoice in the life she lived and her acceptance into God’s loving embrace.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
