Douglas Owen Markwell 59, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Methodist Hospital in Olive Branch, MS. He leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Wanda Martin; two sons, Eric Markwell and Chris Markwell; one daughter, Heather Brister; one sister, Debbie Hoover; two brothers, Clifton Markwell and Jimmy Markwell; eight grandchildren, Shane Markwell, Emily Markwell, Avery Bliss, Christian Markwell, Brayleigh Markwell, Jordan Lamb, Destiny Lamb, and Chase Brister. Douglas is preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Sally Markwell and one brother, Tommy Markwell Jr.
Happy Hippy enjoyed spending time with family and friends and keeping a big smile on his face. He loved being outside, grilling out, fishing, and playing with his dogs.
