Eric James Wang

Eric is survived by his wife, Jenna Wang (Biard); his children, Nori Ann and Ryker James Wang; father, Mitchell Wang (Patty); mother, Shari Shields (Chris); brother, Ryan Wang; paternal grandparents; maternal grandparents; and a plethora of other family members.

Eric was born in Anaheim, CA on April 26, 1989. He graduated from Tustin High School, in Tustin, CA, in 2007. On November 7, 2014, he married Jenna, his high school sweetheart. On August 24, 2016 and April 30, 2021, respectively, he welcomed his two beautiful children, Nori and Ryker.

Eric was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend. He was so proud to be a husband and father. Family was a very important part of his life and he loved them fiercely. Eric was a cancer survivor. Diagnosed with leukemia in 2015, he fought for 6 years, had a bone marrow transplant and became cancer free on March 16, 2021. Sports were a huge part of his life, mainly hockey. Eric loved playing hockey (both roller and ice) and was always involved in the hockey community in any way he could be, where he made so many friends. An avid hat collector, Eric had a massive collection of hats. It wasn’t often that you saw him without a hat on. He never knew a stranger and made friends with people no matter where he went. He could strike up a conversation with just about anyone, talking just about anything. He had an army of friends who adored him. Eric left such a positive impact on so many people and will be remembered fondly for the wonderful, kind, and courageous person that he was. Those memories will be passed to his kids for them to cherish always.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This was a charity that was close to Eric and Jenna’s hearts considering the fight with cancer he had gone through.
