George (Mike) Michael Tomlinson, 67, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017, quietly at home. George was retired from the IRS after 32 years of faithful service. He loved reading about military history, especially the Civil War. Spending time with his friends on the gun range was what he enjoyed most. George (Mike) is survived by his sister, Patricia C. Tomlinson of New Port Richey, FL, and a sister from another mother, Paula Pierce of Jacksonville, FL. He also leaves behind many cousins in Tennessee and Pennsylvania. The family will receive guests on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with services to immediately follow at 2:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654. There will be a reception afterwards at Brantley. Please plan to stay and share food and stories about George with those who loved him.
