J. W. Humble

J.W. Humble, 79, of Southaven, passed away Monday, February 21, 2011, at Baptist Hospital DeSoto. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, with funeral services to follow at 10:00 a.m., all at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery. Mr. Humble was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from Americo where he was a printing/laminating specialist. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, and he was an avid fisherman. J.W. is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bobbie Jean Humble; 2 daughters, Deborah Ferrell (Roger) and Kay Ellis (Steve), both of Cordova; his son, J.W. Humble, Jr. (Annette) of Millington; his sister, Mary Elizabeth McDaniel; 4 brothers, Claude Thompson Humble, Frank Humble, Henry Clay Humble, and Nathaniel Humble; 2 grandchildren, Kevin Ferrell (January) and Lori Ellis; and 2 great grandchildren, Nathan Ferrell and Heaven Ruiz. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lauren Ellis.
