Olive Branch - James (Jimmy Lee) Emerson, 79, passed away at his home. He was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church, and retired from the Memphis Police Department after serving for 38 years. He is survived by his son James Lee Emerson Jr. and daughter Patsy Emerson Howard and son-in-law Jess Howard, grandsons Eric and Trever Howard, granddaughters Crystal Calver and Melissa Emerson, great grandchildren Kyle, Jesse, Erin, Desirey, and Hannah, and nephews Tommy and Steve Brown. Memorial Service will be Thursday, November 8 at Brantley Funeral Home at 6 p.m. Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m.
