James was preceded in death by his father James Garland Steed Sr. James is survived by his mother Donna Marie Steed, brothers Timothy Allen Steed (Kimberly), Jason Matthew Steed (Martha), Jonathan Patrick Steed (Elisangela) and Christopher Hugo Steed (Tracey). He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews Kelsey, Allison, Gibson, Abby, Gracyn, Jimmy, and Luke.
He was a long term employee with FedEx. He loved gardening, particularly the growing of orchids and he loved traveling.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Wednesday Jan. 21, 2015 from 5:00pm till 7:00pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum Road, Olive Branch, MS. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday Jan. 22, 2015 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 8455 Germantown Rd., Olive Branch, MS.
