James Carl Warfield

James Carl Warfield, 89, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 in Hernando, MS. The family will receive friends Monday, March 15, 2021 from 1-2 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2 pm at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Carl served in the U.S. Army as a mechanic. He specialized in maintenance of the 2 ½ (Deuce and a half) cargo truck. After discharge from the military, Carl developed a passion for building, maintaining, and repairing fuel pumps. He also liked to tinker in his shop and collect knives. Carl is preceded in death by his wife Catherine “Cathy” Warfield of 56 years from Southaven, Mississippi. Survivors include his children: Ray Warfield (Joann), Carlatta Torres (Benny), Carla Belk (Eddie), Chad Warfield (Kim), and Del Warfield (Jennifer); grandchildren: Katherine Clarkson (Levi), Kandace Belk, Keaton Belk, Will Warfield, Daniel Warfield, Parker Warfield, Benjamin Torres (Ashley), and Brooke Torres; and 5 great-grandchildren.
