Jean Smith Dear, 84, of Olive Branch, MS passed away on December 27, 2024. Mrs. Dear was born on May 20, 1940 in Decatur, AL to the late Joseph D. and Murphy Smith. She was married to a farmer and was a hard worker. She did work for a few years as a nursing aid. In her free time, she enjoyed going to flea markets and going out to eat. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Earl Dear; and her siblings: Alvertis Smith, Eskel Smith, Phyllis Smith, Curphew Smith, Dude Smith, and Hansford Hank Smith. She is survived by her two sons, Tony Broadway (Ava) and Jerry Broadway.
