Jim Sorrell

Jim Sorrell, age 74, of Byhalia, MS went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Jim was born on December 5, 1949 to the late Odie Lee and Riley Mae Sorrell. He was born and raised in Ripley, TN. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Hollis Sorrell; sister, Sylvia Harper; and sister, Betty Ann Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Jean Sorrell; children: Jody Sorrell (Deborah), Lynn Harmon (Billy), Isaac Sorrell (Emily), Sherry Williams (Robert), Ray Bumpus, and Wanda Campbell (Jay); sisters: Joyce Sorrell (Tina), Linda Watts (Jim), and Marie Sanders; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 10-11 am with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Ripley, TN
