Joyce Ann Wolfe, 75, of Byhalia, MS went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. Ann was born on January 23, 1949 in Memphis, TN to her mother, Lottie Charlotte Hanson Bryan and father, Tildon Dewey Bryan. Ann is now resting peacefully without pain or worries in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Along with her in Heaven is her husband, Sam Carl Wolfe; grandson, Amarillo Dale Sullivan; and oldest sister, Sylvia Meeks. She is survived by her five children: Sam Carlton Wolfe, Dale Ann Lopez, Loretta Joyce Sullivan, Beverly June Myers, and Charlotte Kay Lloyd; 10 grandchildren: Johnny Wolfe, Abigail Sullivan, Selena Sullivan, Breanna Myers, Lydia Myers, Nathaniel Myers, MaKayla Wolfe, Austin Wolfe, MaryAnn Wolfe, and Rose Fuller; 3 great-grandchildren: Brantley Thomas, Maybre Sullivan, and Kinsley Sullivan; and her youngest sister, Betty Carman. Ann loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed going to parks, lakes and mountains, growing flowers, and being outside. She also liked sewing, listening to her favorite music, watching her old tv shows, butterflies, eagles, reading her Bible, and playing with her cats. She was always ready and willing to tell anyone how much God has blessed her and how much she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Ann took GED classes at Byhalia High School and received her diploma. She always wanted to learn medicine and become a doctor, but instead, she became so much more. She became an amazing and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and loving friend to everyone she met. Ann was a great teacher, whether it was teaching her children and grandchildren at home or the kids at church in Sunday School or vacation Bible school. She was also an amazing cook and would cook the most delicious food and would even feed the neighborhood kids who also called her “mom”. Ann will be remembered for loving, caring, and sweet spirit. She had a heart of gold and was always ready to help anyone in need. A celebration of life for Ann will be held at a later date at First Southern Baptist Church, 208 Victoria Rd., Byhalia, MS 38611.
