Lanny Dean May

Lanny Dean May, age 60, passed away at home surrounded by his family on October 28, 2015. He was born in Oxford, MS on February 28, 1955 to the late Cernal and Gertha May. Lanny attended College Hill Academy and was co-owner of Steve Miles Honda. He was retired from the City of Olive Branch and was a Deacon at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Paula Huckaby May; his sons Brian (Amanda) May of Starkville, MS and Jason (Kristy) May of Olive Branch, MS; four beautiful granddaughters: Callie Grace, Kylie Elizabeth, Avery Lauren, and Ella Kaitlyn; brother Larry (Mary) May of El Paso, TX and his sister Wanda (Calvin) Mize of Water Valley, MS, to honor his memory. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, October 30 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 31 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with burial to follow at 3 p.m. in Delay Baptist Church Cemetery.
