Lester Lee Thornton, Jr., 74, of Byhalia, passed away April 17, 2013. Mr. Thornton worked for many years with Firestone and also FedEx where he retired as an electronics technician. He proudly served as an Alderman for the City of Byhalia, and he was a jack-of-all-trades. A loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Mr. Thornton is survived by his wife, Patricia M. Thornton; his daughter, Terrie Thornton Durr; 2 sons, Chris Thornton and David Lee Thornton; his sister, Patricia Leah Sandlin; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
