Lillie Beatrice O'Barr

LILLIE BEATRICE O’BARR, 76, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto. Beatrice was born September 25, 1933 in Minter City, Mississippi. The former resident of Memphis, TN, lived her final 21 years in Olive Branch, MS, where as a dedicated Christian, held her church membership at Emmanuel Baptist. She was employed in the retail field for 20 years, specializing in cosmetics and pharmacy with Walgreen’s, Lillard’s and Peoples Pharmacy. She was the widow of James T. O’Barr and is survived by her daughter, Vicki Lynn Matheny and son-in-law, Darren of Barton, MS; two granddaughters, Corye Kimbrough and husband, Steven, Katie Pass and husband, Jamie; six great-grandchildren, Haley, Breanna, Dalton Kimbrough, Kamryn, Katelynn, Kyndall Pass; four brothers, Lee Willhite of Eupora, MS, James Willhite of Breshears, TX, George Willhite and Noble Willhite of Independence, MS; one sister, Alice DeLaney of Lake of the Ozarks, MO, Frank Willhite (deceased) of Wentzville, MO, Lucille Meredith (deceased) of Olive Branch, MS, along with a host of sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, MS, with visitation, Wednesday, 5-8 p.m., and Funeral Thursday, 2 p.m., with burial in Forest Hill South Cemetery, Memphis.
