Margie Marie Wilbanks

Margie Marie Wilbanks, age 78, of Coldwater, MS passed away peacefully, on Friday, February 20, 2026, surrounded by her family at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto. She was born in Brownsville, TN on July 11, 1947, to Mozilla Marie (Shannon) Clifton and Raymond Seawright. She married Russell V. Wilbanks on January 8, 1964. To that union was born 7 children, whom she loved with all her heart and soul.

Margie was a hard worker who had a variety of jobs in factories and restaurants. She enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with the ones she loved. She got great joy from going to yard sales and thrift stores, watching tv, and sitting outside enjoying the fresh air. She was a strong woman with an even stronger attitude and would shoot straight with you. She also loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play outside.

Margie is survived by her children: Billy Wilbanks of Osceola, AR; Johnny (Shawna) Wilbanks of Leslie, AR; Michael (Danyeall) Gentry of Bay St. Louis, MS; Roy Wilbanks of Coldwater, MS; Kathy (Alan) Miller of Coldwater, MS; Sammy (Jill) Wilbanks of Byhalia, MS. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 6 brothers (Harry, Claude, Dale, Joe, James, Shane, and spouses); and 4 sisters (Sue Nell, Glenda, Debbie, Sandra, and spouses).

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepdad, Roger Clifton; 2 daughters, Diane Wilbanks and Hazel Kirk; daughter-in-law, Kelly Wilbanks; son-in-law, James Kirk; sister, Rose; and brother, Bobby.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 6-8 pm. A graveside service will be held at Gentry Chapel Cemetery in Middleton, TN on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
