

Michael C. Dalton 59, of Byhalia, MS, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 17, 2017 with his wife Renee by his side. Mike was a faithful follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. Mike truly loved his daily walk with Jesus Christ and worshiping at Immanuel Baptist Church along with his pastor and wife, Stan and Iva May and church members. Mike was employed as Operations Manager at the Power Transformer Division of Mitsubishi Electric in Memphis, TN. Mike enjoyed working with his colleagues and friends at Mitsubishi. Mike was a graduate of VA Tech with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Mike was devoted to his loving family and relished his family time. Mike especially enjoyed his role as "granddad" to Gabe. In his spare time, Mike enjoyed wood working and alone with Renee was an avid fan of Duke Basketball. Mike was born in Peterstown, WVA and was predeceased by his parents, Claude and Ruth Dalton. Surviving to cherish his memory, his wife of 32 years, Renee M. Dalton; his sons, Steven Dalton of Fredrick, MD, Timothy Dalton of Byhalia, MS, Matthew Dalton (Amy) of Manhattan, KS; daughter, Lauren of Byhalia, MS, and two special grandchildren, Gabriel Dalton and Cody Johnson. Mike is also survived by a sister, Debra L. Dalton of Peterstown, WVA. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 20, 2017, at 2:00 pm, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Olive Branch, MS with the Reverend Stan May Officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 pm at the church. Mike will be laid to rest in Peterstown Cemetery, Peterstown, WVA beside his parents with graveside services on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, MS and Shrewsberry Funeral Home in Peterstown, WVA are in charge of arrangements.
