Nadine Loretta Thames

Nadine Loretta Thames, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 7, 1933, to Joe and Ruth Blackstock in Lamesa, TX. Nadine found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She had a deep love for poetry, delighted in cooking, and took great pleasure in entertaining those around her. She enjoyed playing games, lifting her voice in song, and offering heartfelt praise. Above all, Nadine cherished her family and treasured every moment she was able to spend with them. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Aaron Thames; her parents, Joe and Ruth Blackstock, and three siblings, Thelma Williams, Mary Jo Ingersoll, and Reverend Laurance Blackstock. Nadine leaves behind her son, Jamie Thames (Kathy), her granddaughter, Audrey Thames, and her brother, J.W. Blackstock (Delores). Nadine was a devoted, longtime supporter of Tupelo Children’s Mansion. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in memory of Mrs. Nadine to Tupelo Children’s Mansion at www.mansionkids.org/donate. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Hope Chapel, 8161 Germantown Rd, Olive Branch, MS 38654. Another Celebration of Life will be held on March 13, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Valley Pentecostal Church, 6550 N 51st Ave Glendale, AZ 85301. Burial will be at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, AZ.
