Pattie Renee Fortune

Pattie Renee Fortune, 58, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at her home in Olive Branch, Mississippi. She was born on November 29, 1967, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Gerald and Patricia.

Most everyone knew her simply as Pattie. She had a soft heart and a creative soul, and she loved staying busy with her hands. Pattie enjoyed arts and crafts, especially crocheting, and she made several quilts over the years. She was also a true plant fanatic and found peace and joy in tending to her plants and watching them grow.

Pattie loved animals, every single one of them. It didn’t matter if it was a cat, dog, hamster, or something in between; if it needed love, Pattie was ready to give it. She had a heart for all God’s animals and wished she could save them all.

A woman of faith, Pattie was a faithful member of Abundant Grace Ministries, where she found comfort and strength throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her son, Chris Fortune, Jr.; her parents, Gerald Henderson and Patricia Fair Fletcher, and two brothers, David Wayne Henderson and Tommy Ray Henderson.

Pattie is survived by her husband of 39 years, Chris Fortune, and her brother, Robert Henderson. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM at Abundant Grace Ministries, 9239 E Holmes Rd, Collierville, TN 38017. Burial will follow at Byhalia Cemetery in Byhalia, MS.
