Rev. Noble R. Walker +, 80, of Southaven, MS passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Rev. Walker was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Frances Walker; and his wife, Martha Y. Walker. He is survived by his son, Mark Walker(Angelique); grandchildren: Lydia Ward(Sonny), Riley Coleman, Randy Coleman, and Matilda Cooper; and great-grandchildren: Jaxon Ward, Dixie Ward, and Izy Ward. Rev. Walker has been an ordained Episcopal priest for 53 years. He has served at various churches in the Memphis area including: St. Timothy’s, Holy Cross, and St. John’s. He had a heart for people which led to be deeply involved in the communities in which he lived. He has served as a prison chaplain, he started a coffee house ministry, and he was very active in helping Cuban refugees come into the United States. He also served as a teacher for Memphis Preparatory School where he taught Spanish and was affectionately known as “Padre”. One of his biggest passions was fellowship and community. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends at St. Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral for a time of visitation on Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 3-4 pm with a Requiem Eucharist to follow at 4:00 pm.
