Ronald Ray Prescott

Ronald Ray Prescott, 84, of Nesbit, MS passed away on January 9, 2026. Mr. Prescott was born on December 4, 1941, in Memphis, TN to the late Thomas and Ludie Prescott. He is a 1960 graduate of Humes High School in Memphis. In his late teens and early twenties, he owned a few different gas stations. He later started Prescott Truck Rentals which he owned and operated for around 50 years. He also worked as a travel agent helping customers book cruises. He and his wife loved to travel. They went on many cruises over the years and were also members of an Airstream club where they traveled all over the country. He also enjoyed riding his Goldwing motorcycle and was a member of the Memphis Christian Motorcycle Group. In his free time, he enjoyed restoring antique cars and building model cars. He also liked watching football games. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Marvin Prescott and Harold Prescott. Mr. Prescott is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Delaney Prescott; son, Jason Prescott (Regina); daughter, Kim Prescott; grandchildren, Olivia Prescott and Jared Prescott; and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 1-2 pm with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Nesbit Community Cemetery.
