Rubye Williams, 80, of Byhalia, MS went to be with the Lord on December 24, 2023. Rubye was born on December 13, 1943 in Marion, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Williams; her father, Roy Dean Farr; her mother, Ruby Elaine Farr Thomason; her brothers, Roy Dean “Abner” Farr Jr. and Troy Lane “Butch” Lipe. She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Bob) Marshall; son, Aaron (Jessica) Williams; granddaughters, McKenzie and Bailey; her brother, Lum (Dottie) Farr; nieces, Aubri Sandlin and Michelle Logan; nephew Dustin (Lori) Farr; and many other great nieces and nephews. Rubye attended Huttig High School in Huttig, AR where she played basketball and softball. She also graduated as Valedictorian. She started the first telemarketing department for Orgill Brothers Floor Covering and went on to win many sales awards. She worked in floor covering for 50 years before retirement. Her greatest joy in life was being “Uma” to her grandchildren. Rubye was believer in Jesus Christ and a member of Hope Baptist Church in Olive Branch. She was loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. A graveside service will be held at the West TN Veterans Cemetery Rotunda on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 9:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hope Baptist Church in her honor.
