Sherrye Hinds Morgan

Mrs. Sherrye Morgan, of Southaven, Mississippi, formerly of Trumann, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, September 04, 2010, at her home, at the age of forty-nine. She was born October 14, 1960 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Ira Van and Betty Sue Hinds. She grew up in Trumann graduating from Trumann High in 1979 and received a degree in Music Education from Arkansas State University in 1983. She was married to Doug Morgan on August 7, 1982 and they had their only child Megan Morgan in March of 1986. Sherrye worked as a bank executive in several capacities over the years, but most recently as a mortgage loan officer with M&F Bank. She also volunteered her time as the band booster treasurer for the Southaven High School Band for the last 10 years. She had devoted her life to the Lord’s service from her youth and was an active member of the church of Christ at Valley Grove in Southaven for 27 years. She was preceded in death by her father Ira Van Hinds. She is survived by her Mother, Betty Hinds; her Husband of 28 years, Doug Morgan ; one Daughter, Megan Morgan ; one Brother, Van Hinds ; and also seven nieces and nephews.
